Woollen Jumpers

Originally made in the 1960’s for the hippy-surfers in the Moroccan coastal village of Essaouira – a place notably windier, wetter and colder than any part of the country – this handmade woollen jumper is ideal for protecting you from the elements.

Our jumpers are handmade from 100% un-dyed sheeps wool. First, the wool is ‘carded’ – a process which involves stretching the fibers of the wool to make it softer and more durable. The carded wool is then made into a jumper by one of our experienced artisans using a wooden hand spindle – an ancient traditional way of knitting that produces a garment of superior quality.
